Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the GalaBooth app on iOS, iPadOS and Android (the "App"), published by YS Labs ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. What the App is
GalaBooth turns a tablet or phone into a self-serve photo booth for events and parties. Guests take photo strips, single photos and GIFs with frames, filters, stickers and character overlays, and receive them on their own phones by scanning a QR code while connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the booth device. The App works on the device; it has no user accounts.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you run a booth for an event, you must be old enough to accept these Terms where you live. Guests under 13 may use the booth only under the supervision of the host or a parent or guardian.
3. Free use, Event Passes and GalaBooth Pro
- Free: one event per device can be started for free, with a watermark.
- Event Pass: a one-time purchase that unlocks one event for 72 hours, counted from the moment you start the booth for that event. It does not renew.
- GalaBooth Pro: an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription that unlocks unlimited events while it is active.
The price, billing period and currency shown in the App at the time of purchase apply, and may include applicable taxes.
4. Payments, renewals and refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, or by Google through Google Play on Android. We never see your payment details.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings, or in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
- "Restore Purchases" in the App restores an active subscription on the same store account. Event Passes are one-time purchases and can't be restored.
5. Store terms
If you downloaded the App from the App Store, your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). If these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA applies to the extent required. If you downloaded the App from Google Play, your use of Google Play is also subject to Google's terms for Google Play.
6. Running a booth: guests and photos
If you set up the App for an event, you are responsible for how it is used there. In particular:
- Let guests know that a photo booth is in use and that their photos may be shared with the host or other guests, and respect any guest who does not want to be photographed.
- Follow the laws and venue rules that apply to taking and sharing photos of people at your event.
- Do not use the App to take or share photos of anyone without their consent, or to create unlawful, harassing or sexually explicit content.
Character overlays use face tracking that runs on the device after a guest turns it on; face data is not stored or sent. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7. Optional GalaSnap album link
A host can link an event to an album in GalaSnap, a separate app from the same publisher. While an event is linked, booth photos (not GIFs) from that event are uploaded to that album. If you link an event, you confirm that you are allowed to send those photos to that album. Albums are managed in GalaSnap, including how long photos are kept and who can see them. If you do not link an event, the App uploads no photos to any server.
8. Your content
Photos taken with the App belong to you and the people in them. We do not claim ownership of them, and we do not receive them except photos a host sends to their own GalaSnap album. Events and photos are stored on the device; deleting an event or the App deletes them from the device.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the App, interfere with its purchases or services, or use it in any unlawful way.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the App and are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including lost photos at an event. Please export photos you want to keep. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
